All true yogis know that the practice is good for the heart. But a new study proves yoga’s medical benefits when it comes to “off-beat” tickers.

Researchers at the University of Kansas followed 49 people with heart rhythm disorders (mainly, atrial fibrulation, usually treated with medication or surgery that has an 80-percent success rate, at best).
These 49 people did yoga regularly for three months, and noted impressive results at study’s end.
The average patient not only experienced half the amount of irregular heart rhythm episodes, but also improved their heart rate, and felt less anxiety.
Whether you have a heart condition or not, if you’re looking for some poses to get the blood flowing through your love center – think inverted: Downward dog, wheel pose, shoulder stand and cobra pose are all good choices.
Namaste!
